Electric BMW Z3 Roadster
This roadster has been converted to electric drive using many off-the-shelf components. The power controller is a Soliton 1 from EVnetics. The 36KWH battery is made of 72 Nissan Leaf cells. The DC motor is a Netgain WarP 9.

Bruce has been doing a variety of engineering since he was a kid. Professionally, that's included computers, robots, industrial, nuclear (in the Navy aboard the USS Shark, SSN-591) and solar. Lately, he's been promoting electric cars in order to help our environment, economy and national security.

What inspired you to make this project?
I began to realize that the investment is justified by the way it improves our environment, economy and national security. And it's extremely cool!
