Valerie Jopeck

Valerie presents on the importance of making and design thinking in a curricular setting frequently. She helped found the makerspace at Camelot Elementary School and works with colleagues in FCPS to ensure that the library is an intellectual gymnasium celebrating curiosity, wonder, and activity in various forms. Valerie is a professional librarian, with additional school librarian qualifications. She is not a garage/shed tinkerer herself, but relishes helping a new generation of kids see the joy and value in tinkering and making as valuable learning precepts.
