I served in the US Air Force for 9 years as a telecommunications technician. After the military, I joined a networking company and eventually became a certified technical trainer. Being a full time parent allowed me to indulge my love of creating jewelry and other "making" activities. When I decided to rejoin the workforce, my experience with customer service, electronics, coding, instruction and general "fixing" made me a unique candidate to work in Loudoun County Public Library's first makerspace, the MILL studio at the Gum Spring Library.
