What inspired you to make this project?
I have been making clothing and costumes for over 15 years. I learned to sew from my grandmother when I was very young and I have been doing it as a hobby ever since. A little over a year ago I quit my desk job and came back to school at George Mason University to study costume design in hopes of one day obtaining a career in something I love. Along the way I picked up an interest in wearable electronics for clothing and costume. When I went back to school I found the MIX makerspace and also gained an interest in 3D printing. Over the last year I have combined all of these interests and began making some garments that incorporate all of these elements.
