DIY Electric Longboard

I made an electric longboard using basic building techniques and soldering. It has a top speed of 27mph over flat ground and can go over 20mi.

It is comparable to the Boosted Board. However, the DIY version is $1200 cheaper and has 2x the range.

What inspired you to make this project?
My friend at school has a Boosted Board. It looked awesome but I don't got no $1700. So I built my own.
