TEDx is a program created by TED of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. TEDxTysons creates an opportunity for anyone with an idea, project or inspiring story to share it with the rest of the Tysons area – helping to connect, educate, inform and showcase our diverse and growing community.
At TEDx events a combination of live presenters and TEDTalks videos spark deep conversation and connections. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis and lack any commercial, religious or political agenda.
This is the first year that TEDxTysons has worked with Maker Faire NoVa and we are extremely pleased with our new working relationship. TEDxTysons will be helping us run the Speaker Series and providing expertise and people to help us record the event (both video and photography). TEDxTysons has also introduced us to several fascinating makers including an entire film festival (SmartPhilm Festival – films shot on smartphones) which will take place at Maker Faire NoVa in 2019. We could not be happier with our new community partner!

MakerFaire NoVa welcomes the Fairfax Library Foundation as a sponsor of the 6th annual MakerFaire! The Fairfax Library Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable and educational organization committed to providing supplementary support to the Fairfax County Public Library, the largest public library system in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Foundation serves as a catalyst for attracting private funding from individuals, businesses, organizations and foundations to enhance library services for our community.

Escape Room Herndon has cultivated four unique escape room experiences that will challenge your mind and keep your heart pounding until the very end. Artifacts, clues, cryptic symbols, and unexpected interactive materials used in each room guide players through exciting adventures. Only the wiliest, most coordinated teams will escape to the other side.
